Not from a pitch deck
Quantum Flex AI wasn't born from a startup accelerator or venture capital plan. It was born from long shifts, paperwork piled too high, and watching small businesses struggle with tools they couldn't afford or didn't have time to learn.
I started as a shop helper in Germany in 2000 — didn't know anything about machining. Worked my way up to CNC programmer, then manufacturing manager. Got my business degree at night while working 12-hour shifts.
In 2007, my wife and I moved to Canada with two kids and eight suitcases. Started over from the machines up. I've spent the last 18 years leading production at a manufacturing company in Alberta.
In 2024, I survived a medical emergency that changed everything. When you almost die, you get clarity fast. I realized the work that matters is helping others — specifically, the small manufacturers who are stuck between expensive enterprise software and spreadsheets that don't scale.
I taught myself to build software the same way I learned everything else: by doing. Now I build practical tools for shops like the ones I've worked in over the past 25 years.
